Alpine County Chamber
of Commerce
Champions of Commerce
Our business members are the heart of everything we do, and we recognize that their success is necessary to achieve a healthy community and balanced economy. Therefore, our staff are dedicated to creating visibility of their services, promoting tourism, being champions of a robust economy, and creating incentives to support local.
Conveners of Community
The people who live and work in Alpine County are the threads that make up the fabric we call Community. We strive to help our community members make lasting connections and contribute to the health, safety, and the economic and environmental well-being of our towns.
Visitors Connection
Alpine County provides a friendly, relaxing environment far removed from the state’s urbanized destinations. Whether it’s for a weekend getaway or longer, we are sure you’ll enjoy the finest in mountain adventure and recreation. Our Visitor's Center in Markleeville is your go-to stop for area information, maps, souvenirs, local insights, and more!
Annual Report
2021 was another "unique" year on the books! Thanks to all of our members, community partners, and supporters for helping us continue to serve the community during a very challenging year.

Membership Services & Benefits
Small business support and advocacy is as important now as ever. Throughout the COVID crisis and the 2021 fire season, the Chamber has worked to find resources for small businesses to weather the storms. In addition to helping our members connect with financial assistance, Chamber staff secured PPE and worked to keep our members informed of resources and business trends. All the while, we kept Alpine County visible and engaged with our audiences nation wide.
Members enjoy referral and recommendation of their products and services, social media publicity, regional marketing, as well as training assistance through the Small Business Development Center in conjunction with San Joaquin Delta College, Stockton, California.
We provide information on our members to visitors through print publications and our websites www.alpinecounty.com and www.deathride.com. Our members also have access to our bulk mail permit, and our given reduced rates on photocopying and faxing. We host networking and General Membership Meetings, and provide funding for tourism promotion activities. We work to keep our businesses and residents connected through our monthly membership newsletter, and much more.
